Yamila Lomba Presents “Cubans: The Forgotten Faces” at Libreria Universal located at 3090 SW 8th Street, Miami on Saturday 21st from 1:oo pm to 3:00 pm
“Cubans: The Forgotten Faces” is Yamila Lomba’s first book and it’s a compilation of portraits taken in Havana, Cuba between 2001 and 2010. This significant portrayal, focused on images that capture the attitudes of Cubans of different generations. Many of these Cubans have turned to their religious faith to find comfort or, moreover, to heal themselves from physical or spiritual pain. Many of them have abandoned their path, their original innocence, relinquishing their dreams and many other aspirations while preserving only some hopes to continue on with life.
